The Girl Behind the Story
Jeweltease.com features fun and funky creations for women who appreciate a boutique look without the second mortgage. Jewelry featured has been created by designer Cosette Armstrong, a thirty-something professional in the fashion industry. She began moonlighting as a jewelry designer 6 years ago in response to her own desire for affordable costume jewelry with a funky edge. Frustrated by what seemed like a 30-day expiration date on the average costume jewelry out there, she was able to achieve a level of quality in her own creations that could last for years. After wardrobing her friends, family, and co-workers in her inventions, she branched out to trunk shows, and now this web site.

Unexpected color combinations are the signature look; the blend of genuine and faux gems keep this distinct look affordable! Shop on!

The Jewels We Use
All beads and findings used are the highest quality available. Many faceted and "Celestial" crystal beads are glass. All pearls are glass. Other favorites include quartz, turquoise (some man-made, some genuine), various corals, and tiger eye. All metal beads used are sterling or pewter.

Construction Features

Most pieces are strung on durable beading wire called Accuflex. Stretch items are strung on Powercord, a no fray elastic. Some multi-strand necklaces are strung on a super strength thread for ease in finishing.

Most clasps are sterling silver or pewter. Crimps and jumprings used to attach the clasps are sterling silver exclusively. Occasionally plated clasps are used and those can be dipped in sterling cleaner and tarnish only minimally.

Gift wrapping is optional for any or all items that you are purchasing. Wrapping consists of a handbag-shaped black pop up box with zebra tissue paper and does include a gift tag. Please request wrapping when you place your order.

The blah, blah, blahs . . .
A bit about sizing. Each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind, and this applies to length as well. Necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and earrings vary in length and size due to each design. Length size is given in inches in each description and we recommend you use a tape measure to determine which design is most appropriate for you.

A bit about cleaning. All glass beads, Celestial crystals, and sterling and nickel-plated clasps can be dipped in any jewelry cleaner. Pieces containing quartz, coral, turquoise, or tiger eye should not be submersed in cleaner because it will strip any finish manufacturers may apply to the gem. Simply dip the clasp only.

A bit about if-you-break-it. Great care is taken in designing each piece to ensure that it looks fabulous and experiences longevity in your jewelry collection. However, things happen: children, vacuums, dryers, dogs. We would be more than happy to re-string or repair any piece you purchase for a one-time fee of $10. (a special note about stretch items: they are NOT invincible and are not meant to be played with).

A bit about returns. Each piece is a unique piece of art, and all sales are considered final.
